Established in 1903, and founded on the Anglican faith, Diocesan is a school with a proud heritage of excellence in all aspects of girls’ education, a solid ethical foundation and a harmony between tradition and innovation underlying every aspect of the School.

Diocesan has approximately 1600 students, from year levels 1 to 13.

DIPLOMA PROGRAMME

Authorized to offer the IB Diploma Programme since July 2007, the programme is taught in English. The school has boarding facilities and is open to female students only. The head of the school is Frances Ann Mildenhall.

The International Baccalaureate (IB) aims to develop inquiring, and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. The IB offers high quality programmes of international education to a worldwide community of schools.

The three IB programmes for students aged 3 to 19 help develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world. There are more than 599,000 IB students at 2,226 schools in 125 countries.
